SINGLE PARENTS

    Home SINGLE PARENTS

    SINGLE PARENTS

We scaffold families facing sudden housing instability, income loss, emotional trauma, and social deterioration as the result of divorce or widowhood. With a mission to “empower single parents and their children by providing hope, support, and resources so families can become self-sustaining and thrive,” We directly help parents find jobs, get educated, secure housing, stabilize their children’s emotional states, manage their finances and help one another.

    Stabilization

The bare-bones start for most people, we present families with free clothing, food bank programs, schoolbook subsidies for children, and critical social service resources.  We do our best to connect everyone to childcare, food, clothing, legal, and housing resources.

    Financial Peace

This services helps single parents acquire and apply proven financial management techniques that teach budgeting, bargain shopping, understanding insurance, credit bureaus, and collection practices, finding employment in their strengths, banking procedures, saving for emergencies, and getting out of debt.

    Career Development

Another goal is to provide low-income single mothers with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to measurably improve their economic circumstances to ensure a better future for themselves and for their children.  We aim to increase low-income parents employability in the current job market and to help participating single mothers make career choices that will strengthen their financial futures.

    Mental Health Help

Therapeutic services (individual and group therapy) provided to single parents and their children. We understand the effects of hardship sometimes extends beyond our tangible needs and mental stability is another priority.
